my experience of cold

   I'll tell you about my experiences of cold. First, I hardly catch a cold but I had a nasal voice since I came here, I think because here is too cold. I didn't get used to being in the cold.

In addition, before I came here, I sometime caught a cold or the flu when I studied for  regularly scheduled tests. My family and my friends said to me " You don't like studying." half in joke, but I think so, too. Maybe I'm suited for studying. Next week, we have final exams, so I may catch a cold if I study hard.

Finally, in my country, almost all people take medicine from doctor or markets and sleep well if they catch a cold. When I catch a cold, I always eat something which then I want to eat. I think it's one of the most important things.

Notting Hill

    I like this book, because it's a movie which they from different social standing met. It's difficult for our real life to meet like this, so the more I read this book, the more interesting.

I like William, because I think he is straightforward. Although he is a ordinary person, he kept going to the end to get her who is actress. He is also courageous.
He give ordinary people around the world courage. He taught if you keep going to the end, you can do anything. I want many people to read this book. Therefor, they may be able to change their mind.

the Tale of the Bamboo Cutter

  I was a child who didn't read much books. Sometime I read a book

When I'm with my friend, we read "the Tale of the Bamboo Cutter" together.

Onece upon a time, there is a man go for taking bamboos and his wife. One day, the man found a girl baby in a bamboo. He took a baby and, they decided to grow up her. The girl grew up very beautiful. She accepted marriage proposals from many emperors, but she refused them, and  went up the moon.

This story is famous in Japan.
Is everyone know this story?
I like this story when I was child.

transportation

    My favorite way to travel is airplane, because I like taking an airplane and being in airports. When I go abroad, I always take an airplane. It makes me feel exciting.

 An advantage we take an airplane is saving us a lot of time. I think other transportations such as cars, bus and train are also good ways to travel anywhere, but it takes many times, so you may feel tired and boring. In addition, you can accept very kindly service which flight attendants give us: drinks, food, blanket and other consideration. When we accept them, we can spend flight time more comfortble.

On the other hand, it also has a disadvantage, various planes accidents. Accidents happened all over the world. Everyone knows the accident "9.11" which happened in NewYork was disastrous accident. Many people were sacrificed. When I took an airplane to come here, the plane we took in a treacherous air current, so it was quite a bumpy flight. I and my friends were scared.

  I had interesting experience in Calgary about transportation. A train and bus are always late in here, but my country are almost on time. In addition, bus drivers is freedom in here: drinking, eating and calling, but in my country, bus drivers don't do like this. I had a little bit culture shock.

My Favorite Season

  I want to go snowboarding while I stay here.  In Japan, I used to go snowboarding in winter. The snow stay on the ground in this country, so I 'm looking forward to going snowboading.

  I like winter sports, but I don't like cold weather, so my favorite season is summer, because there are many events: fireworks, going the beach and festivals. In Japan, there are many fireworks displays, it's so beautiful !!!! And then, women often wear yukata (an informal cotton kimono) and there are many street stall. We can eat nice food.

Do you have any festival in your country? Festival of Japan is so good!!!!!! I think you can enjoy it. I have many good memories in summer, travel, beach, barbecue, drinking and festival. Summer has many events, so summer is the best season for me.

Good City Calgary !!

   I think Calgary is safety city, because I have never seen anything accident. In addition, I always feel many people who live in Calgary are very kind. When I asked someone, they gave me many information. A long weekend in October, I went to Edomonton with my friends. Then, we were drawn into an accident: strange person talked to us, so we were afraid of him. I heard the wail of siren many times while we stayed Edomonton. I thought Calgary is very safer than there: here is comfortable to live in, but when we were drawn into an accident, people who live in Edomonton stood up for us: talked him, called the police and drove to the hostel. We come in contact with kindness. Therefore, I think people who live in Canada are very kind, so maybe it is safer than other countries.

Calgary is safety city, but my hometown is very safer than here. Japan goverment prohibit from possesing a gun, so many people may feel a little bit safety. In conclusion, I think here is safety city, but my country is much safer than here, but I like Calgary!!!!!!!

My favorite holiday

  I introduce about my favorite holiday, New year's day in Japan. It's begining of the year.

First, between on December31 at night and January1 at noon , many people visit a shrine at the beginning of the New Year, and can pull out an omikuji there. Omikuji is their own fortune drawn by lot. At night in New year's day 2010, I visited a local shrine with my friends. There are many many people, so I felt little sick in a crowd.

Second,  on January1, many people usually celebrate the New Year with family. We eat traditional Japanese food prepared in advance for consumption during the first three days of the New Year. In addition, many people drink sake and soup containing mochi (rice cakes). I like it very much.

Finally, I think Japanese people work more than other countries people, but this day, many people spend many times for oneself, for example: drinking, watching TV, sleeping and talking with family. It's very calm, so I think it's important for people to relax and how a wonderful day !!!

In conclusion, I like this holiday, but recent years, this old custom is becoming obsolete.
